JACOB BOHART
Jacob Bohart,
farmer, section 34, is the son of Philip Bohart, who was a native of Germany, and who came to America when
about eight years of age. He was married in Buchanan County, Missouri, to Miss Martha Russell, who was born
in South Carolina. They had a family of ten children, Jacob being the fourth.
He was born in Buchanan County,
Missouri, July 25, 1845. When he was eleven years of age his parents moved to Holt County, Missouri, where he
has since resided. He has followed farming as an occupation during life, and now has a farm of one hundred and
sixty acres. He was married February 15, 1868, to Martha A. Gibson, a native of Holt County, Missouri, born
April 20, 1849. Her parents were John and Sarah Gibson, the former a native of England, and the latter of Kentucky.
Their family consists of one child, Anna E. Mr. and Mrs. B. are members of the Christian church.
